Akhtaruzzaman Khan Kabir

Akhtaruzzaman Khan Kabir is a seasoned Bangladeshi civil servant and Additional Secretary with extensive leadership in public service and trade governance. He served as Chief Executive Officer of the Bangladesh Tourism Board for five years before becoming Chairman of the Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation in May 2017, significantly advancing national tourism. His diverse career includes key administrative roles as Director of International Fairs and Exhibitions at the Export Promotion Bureau, Director of the WTO Cell at the Ministry of Commerce, and Senior Assistant Secretary in the Cabinet Division. He frequently represents Bangladesh globally at major tourism symposiums and commerce fairs.

Syed Ishtiaque Reza

Syed Ishtiaque Reza, born in 1965, is a prominent Bangladeshi journalist and media executive who earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Dhaka. His decades-long career spans print, broadcast, and digital media, starting as a print reporter for The Bangladesh Observer and The Financial Express. Transitioning into television, Reza held elite executive leadership roles, serving as CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Global Television, Editor-in-Chief at GTV, and Chief News Editor at Ekattor TV. Additionally, he has taught at the State University of Bangladesh and serves as joint editor of the Editors Guild Bangladesh.

Pranab Saha is a veteran journalist with over 38 years of experience across print, broadcast, and newsroom management. Formerly the Editor of DBC News, his distinguished career includes key roles at ATN News, ETV, Prothom Alo, and Bhorer Kagoj. A prominent anchor and columnist, Saha is widely respected for his analytical insight and commitment to objective journalism. Beyond his media contributions, he is a dedicated advocate for Bangladesh’s tourism industry, leveraging his platform to promote the nation’s growth. Known for his professional integrity, Saha remains a leading voice in national discussions regarding media, democracy, and public policy.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Badruzzaman Bhuiyan

Professor Dr. Mohammad Badruzzaman Bhuiyan is a distinguished academic and administrator, currently serving as a Professor and Director of the EMBA Program in the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, University of Dhaka. With over 21 years of experience, he previously held leadership roles as Vice-Chancellor and Treasurer at the University of Barishal. His administrative expertise at the University of Dhaka includes serving as Departmental Chairman and Hall Provost.

Dr. Bhuiyan holds a Ph.D. in Tourism and Hospitality Management from the University of Dhaka and completed his Post-Doctoral research at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). A recipient of Dean’s Awards for academic excellence, he specializes in sustainable tourism, destination branding and strategic planning. A prolific scholar with over 30 peer-reviewed publications and two textbooks, he has supervised numerous Ph.D. and MBA theses. Additionally, he serves as the General Secretary of the Bangladesh Tourism Educators Association, contributing significantly to regional tourism policy and educational development.
